Associate Professor, Missouri State University, Graduate Department of Defense and Strategic Studies Faculty, 2008-Present

Joint appointment in Master of Public Health Program and in the Center for Homeland Security. Course expertise: Chemical/Biological Warfare, Strategic Planning for Homeland Security and Defense, Multidisciplinary Approaches to Homeland Security, Public Health Preparedness, International Health and Infectious Disease.

U.S. Navy, Rank: Commander (0-5), 1988-2008

Responsibilities included Officer-in-Charge of the Navy Disease Vector Ecology and Control Center Jacksonville and Assistant Professor of Preventive Medicine and Biometrics at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS). Served in international billets or deployments for a total of six years, including as the medical entomologist for the First Marine Expeditionary Force during Operations Desert Shield/Desert Storm.
