:: Dr. Bradley Thayer ::

    Dr. Thayer, Associate Professor, was a Fellow at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, and consultant to the Rand Corporation.  Before coming to the Department, he taught at Dartmouth College and the University of Minnesota.  His research interests cover a broad range of international security issues, including information warfare, the causes and consequences of nuclear proliferation, the origins of war and ethnic conflict, terrorism, and U.S. national security policy.  He is the co-author of America’s Achilles Heel:  Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical Terrorism and Covert Attack, (MIT Press, 1998), and American Empire:  A Debate (Routledge, 2007.)  He is the author of Darwin and International Relations:  On the Evolutionary Origins of War and Ethnic Conflict (University Press of Kentucky, 2004.)  Dr. Thayer received his Ph.D from the University of Chicago.
